Lessons from Spider-Man 3

This weekend, I had the chance to watch again some parts of the 2007 movie "Spider-Man 3" on TV. I credit God for revealing to me the lessons that I got from this "amazing" film. Buckle your seat belts, here we go!

Scene 1: Peter was in a bad mood and he impatiently shouted at his landlord. The landlord's daughter comforted his father, then he told his daughter, "He's a good boy. He must be in some kind of trouble."

This reminds me of how Daddy God believes in us and sees us as good even if we don't act it. He sees our real identity inside, even when the outside doesn't show it. And He still loves us even at our worst. Amen!

Scene 2: Harry helped Peter despite the bad things Peter said and did to him, to the point that he even sacrificed his life for his friend.

I got reminded of the powerful verse that says, "There is no greater love than to lay down one's life for one's friends." (John 15:13 NLT) In the movie, this was done by Harry for Peter. In real life, it was done by Jesus for all of us. I wonder if there are other examples of this in real life. Tell me if you know of some. Thanks.

Scene 3: Peter finally forgave the man who killed his uncle.

We see here the beauty and power of forgiveness. Forgiveness sets us free. Forgiveness brings us back to being really alive. Forgiveness grants us a brighter outlook in life. Forgiveness improves the quality of our lives.

I hope you got blessed even more than I did. When I get the chance to fully watch the movie, I might update this blog post. Alright, ciao!
